Lumenyte has been producing Fiber Optic lighting systems for over 30 years. We invented the formulation and process to produce the original large core plastic optical fiber. Today Lumenyte’s Staflex polymer formula is engineered to remain flexible and resist discoloration. Staflex transmits light with minimal color shift and attenuation offering the highest quality and repeatability in plastic large core monofilament optical fibers. Lumenyte optical fibers are available in configurations to suit a variety of applications in various industries.
Initially Lumenyte worked extensively with optical fiber systems in: the pool and spa, and water feature industry, commercial and architectural industry, and transportation industries. Successful applications include linear emitting optical fiber (LEF), used at locations like: the New York, New York casino, and Harrahs casino in Las Vegas, and the Sands Casino in Macau. In over more than a quarter of a century Lumenyte has worked closely with organizations such as: Dupont, 3M, Teledyne Lars, Phillips, Osram, Sartomer, Lucite, Visual Lighting Technologies, and Fiberstars to accomplish its goals. Our manufacturing and development capabilities have evolved to encompass new directions, products, and applications in new industries.
